Our History

Founded in 2009, Granite Pathways began as a grass-roots initiative that introduced the “clubhouse” model in New Hampshire, an evidence-based, self-help community, aimed at eliminating isolation and providing hope, dignity, and recovery options for adults with mental illness.

Today

The Granite Pathways of today is a multi-faceted, statewide organization that provides an array of services for those struggling with mental illness or substance use disorders.

Noteworthy

As you know, Granite Pathways is part of The Fedcap Group—a growing family of nonprofits with similar missions, all laser focused on improving the lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged.  Twice a year the Fedcap Group releases its financial and operating results. This effort provides key stakeholders with regular and timely disclosures about financial and operational performance, mission-related impact, and trends and challenges for The Fedcap Group. This release underscores our commitment to fiscal transparency.

Our Peer Supported Recovery model is a holistic approach to long-term recovery. People who have traveled the pathway to recovery and who understand the job and challenges of the journey lead the process. Working alongside someone with a shared experience means that support is credible and sustaining. Research proves that peer-led support is the most effective approach to substance use recovery. Embedded within our peer recovery centers is workforce readiness opportunities. We believe that work completes treatment.


Our Inpatient Treatment helps create a safe space for youth between the ages of 12 and 18 using a range of evidence-based clinical interventions and innovative supports. Well-established partnerships ensure that once the young people leave the facility, they have access to a comprehensive array of community-based support as they continue their process of recovery. Through our signature Get Ready!™ youth are provide with skill building, support and guidance toward college and/or employment.


The Doorway at Granite Pathways Nashua and Manchester provides screening, assessment and referrals for mental health and substance use disorders resulting in the right level of service.


Our Family Support Services ensure that family members do not feel isolated and have the supports they need to make it through the day to day challenges of having a loved one struggling with addiction. Through group sessions, families have the opportunity to share their stories, learn how to effectively cope, and manage expectations.


Our Clubhouses located in Manchester and Portsmouth offer a welcoming, supportive environment to those struggling with mental illness.


All of our services and supports are focused on helping individuals achieve stability and pursue education or employment—resulting in long term self-sufficiency.
